Doctors' Mess

Doctors Mess 1 - 227x 177

Denmark Hill Site - The Doctors' Mess is in the basement of the Hambleden Wing and is open 24 hours a day. It's a large area where you can relax and socialise, with the added benefits of Sky television, PCs and printers, and refreshments. As well as tea, coffee and toast, there's a Saturday lunchtime pizza delivery and a Sunday early evening curry.

When you join the Mess you'll be asked to pay a small fee each month towards the upkeep of the facilities and for the regular social activities arranged throughout the year. These include weekly football, dinner at local restaurants, Christmas and summer balls.

The Mess is managed by a committee which is largely comprised of junior doctors. It meets every month to arrange social activities and charity fundraising events, and to discuss key issues and actions. The committee welcomes suggestions and ideas from members, so please get involved.
