Simulation Training Centre

 We run a comprehensive simulation training programme. Clinical staff can hone their medical and surgical skills in the safe, controlled environment of our dedicated simulation training facilities in the Conference Centre at the Weston Education Centre (WEC), Denmark Hill  and the Education Centre at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH).

Facilities include a state-of-the-art patient simulator, patient monitoring equipment and surgical equipment, including a laparoscopic robot.

We are keen to develop our faculty at King's. If you wish to get involved, you will need to attend a training session before joining the team.  Train the trainer courses are run at Denmark Hill and PRUH sites as an introduction to facilitation and debriefing.  The course covers simulation as an educational tool, giving and receiving feedback, human factors, effective communication, leadership and followership.
