How it works

The induction process for doctors and dentists consists of three parts:

1. Medical Induction - mandatory

2. Local Induction and orientation to your specialty - mandatory

All new doctors and dentists receive a local induction and orientation to their department/ward(s) organised by the division. This is in addition to the main Medical Induction.

3. Meeting with your Educational Supervisor

Consultants

Consultants/SASGs and SpRs who have worked at King's before getting their first consultant post should attend Medical Induction.

You also need to complete a mandatory online induction course.

You meet with a member of the Executive Board quarterly and receive:

All new consultants should attend Medical Induction and familiarise themselves with the defibrillator function units and resuscitation systems. Thereafter, we offer further basic life support (BLS) training updates.
