About us

KIng 's College Hospital - Golden Jubilee Wing

King's College Hospital is one of the top teaching hospitals in the UK and a leading provider of Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education (PGMDE). Situated in south east London, we serve a large and diverse local population and provide regional tertiary care services across many specialties.

We currently have more than 500 doctors and dentists in training. As part of King's Health Partners (KHP), we are a lead provider for five specialty training programmes across south east and south London. We aim to build on this success as further speciality training programmes are commissioned.

All 70 of our Foundation Year 2 trainees achieve their desired posts, or choose to take a year out and then rejoin the training programmes when they return. Those high fliers who choose the academic route consistently shine and achieve their desired outcomes.

Our medical training and education bases

The Weston Education Centre (WEC) is the hub for all medical training and development at Denmark Hill, and  The Education Centre at the PRUH is the hub for training for the Bromley & Orpington areas.  Both facilities include:
